Degausser creates strong magnetic field and using the coercive force
to destroy the data. It is known as very strong data destroying
method.
This equipment uses maximum 15,000 gauss and magnetically destroy
hard-disk in 40mins.
In addition, after the degaussing process the hard-disk is unable to
reuse.
It is a very strong destroying method, but when you do the second
process which is the pressure crush or shredding (physical
destruction), that would complete a better process.
